#001 – Two days to go!

A brightly colored, detailed map-style flat lay of a Norway cruise route arranged on a rustic wooden table. A large illustrated map of the Norwegian coastline lies in the center, with playful icons marking fjords, tiny cruise ships, lighthouses, and Viking ships. Around it are scattered nautical items: a brass compass, a coiled blue rope, a miniature cruise ship model, and a small snow globe containing a fjord landscape. Soft window light from the left casts gentle, natural shadows, highlighting the textures of paper and wood. Photographic realism with vibrant, whimsical elements, shot from a bird’s-eye view with sharp focus throughout, creating an energetic, fun planning vibe perfect for a playful travel blog.

On Saturday 9th May, Helen and I are being picked up to be driven straight to the Dover cruise terminal to board Saga’s Spirit of Discovery for a seven-day cruise to Norway.

After a day travelling up the North Sea towards Norway, our first shore visit will be at Bergen on Monday, 11th. On the two subsequent days we will travel along the Sognefjord to visit Flam and then Skolden before making our way back to the North Sea again for our return trip to Dover.
